Matt Aaron Krinsky

Director / Producer

Matt is a director, producer, and writer whose work spans film, theater, and live events. ALL SAINTS DAY marks his feature film directorial debut.

Born on the North Shore of Boston and now a longtime Los Angeles resident, Matt has worked across stage and screen for more than two decades, having founded Mogul Productions in 2002.

As a filmmaker, he secured financing to produce and direct An Eye for an Eye (2004), a short film starring Academy Award® nominee and Golden Globe® winner Sally Kirkland. The film had a successful festival run and secured international distribution. His additional shorts include Voodoo Love (2007), Demonic Attachment (2016), Playdate (2019) — acquired by IndieFlix — and Brothers on a Motel Bed (2022), all of which screened at film festivals across the U.S.

For the stage, Matt has directed and produced several world premiere plays and readings, including the Off-Broadway premiere of With Love (2014, Theatre at St. Clement’s). He is also an alumnus of the Lincoln Center Theater Directors Lab West and has worked as a Teaching Artist with the Disney Musicals in Schools program.

After earning a BA in Psychology from Brandeis University, Matt began his entertainment career as an assistant to producer Lawrence Bender at A Band Apart, the company he co-founded with Quentin Tarantino. He later trained as an actor at the Joanne Baron / D.W. Brown Studio and the Carolyne Barry Acting Academy to strengthen his skills as a director. He also gained insight into the industry during his tenure in corporate communications at The Walt Disney Company.

In 2022, Matt launched Essex Street Productions to produce All Saints Day and continues to develop new projects across film, television, animation, documentary, and stage through Mogul Productions, with an eye toward acquiring and adapting existing IP.

When he’s not storytelling, Matt can be found running, honing his graphic design skills, over-caffeinating on iced coffee, watching classic comedies and cartoons, playing word games, or hanging out with his niece and three nephews — all of whom have cameos in All Saints Day.
